Keita Will Lose 12 Match With Barca

Barcelona was confused because Mali drew 2-2 with Liberia yesterday. This means that Mali qualify for African Nations Cup. According to schedule, the match will be held on January 21 next year. And every player of African origin should arrive 14 days before the game begins. This means, Keita must arrive not later than 14 days before the game.

However, the manager of Keita, Alain Giresse, saying that players should arrive at least 48 hours before the first game begins. Until now, the Barcelona still do not know exactly when Keita departure. Clearly, the Keita probably go in January and February.

One thing that is feared. When Keita had to go 14 days before the date of January 21 (January 7) and Mali Barcelona should play for 12 games without Keita. He will miss the league matches at home against Espanyol and Betis away, plus the round of sixteen Both Copa del Rey matches (if Barca are INVOLVED).

More puzzling, if Mali get through to the last eight, then Keita would also miss the first leg of the cup semi final (if FCB are playing), and the home Liga match against Real Sociedad.

If Mali make it through to the last four, Mali would also miss the cup semi final second leg, if Barça qualify, and would also miss the road trip to Osasuna even if Mali loses, because they would still have the third and fourth place playoff to play.  If Mali manage to go all the way to the final, then Keita could miss as many as twelve games for his club. That last game would be the second round first leg match in the Champions League, provided Barcelona qualify for that stage.
