Use iPhone To Control Your HVAC System, Make Your Family is Happy

Forgot to turn off Heating, Ventilation, or Air Conditioning system, or HVAC, as you remember it all when you're on vacation with the family. It will create the holiday atmosphere to be unpleasant. You will soon return home, and then on the way, wives and your children scold you, they feel not happy. Of course this does not want to happen to you. However, you need not worry anymore, now you can check it with your iPhone.

If you use the HVAC controller of Synco™ 700, Synco™ living, Albatros™, Sigmagyr®, you do not need to return immediately to the house just to make sure the condition of your HVAC. By using HomeControl application on the iPhone, you can turn off, control the HVAC equipment from outside the home.

Developed by the Siemens Building Technologies Division, HomeControl is a new iPhone app that allows owners of Synco 700, Synco living, Albatros and Sigmagyr HVAC controllers to access their system from any location. This lets users view important information about the operating status of their system and, if needed, adjust setpoints or change the occupancy status. Users can then enforce energy-efficient operations at any time and from any location with an Internet connection.

Designed for ease of use, the app's user interface functions as an intuitive remote control for heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems. This allows users, for instance, to turn on the heat in their vacation home while en route or to ensure that all settings have been switched back to protection and energy-saving mode while traveling back home. For lighting and shading control (blinds), HomeControl supports scenarios which can be selected at the touch of a button. The app also displays system notifications. For example, if the settings are energy-inefficient or malfunctions occur, HomeControl displays a message and gives the user the opportunity to respond immediately.

Not only that, you can access more broadly the HVAC system through a web browser. So you have plenty of opportunities to check and adjust the the HVAC system of any region.

HomeControl includes device-specific configuration templates ("Favorites" pages) that allow the app to be put into service quickly and easily. Additional tools are not needed.

HomeControl runs on any iPhone or iPad with iOS 4.3 or later and is available now as a free download in the Apple App Store under http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/homecontrol-for-room-automation/id491359175??mt=8

For a while HomeControl application is available in English, German, Italian, French, Dutch, and Spanish. And HomeControl requires the Synco OZW772 web server or the web server LPB OZW672 with firmware V4.0 or higher.
